ApexSQL has joined the Quest team

Twenty years ago this month, I started what would later become ApexSQL in my Boston basement with a single shareware tool for SQL Server called Proc-Blaster. Fast-forward to today and we have more than 30 products, nearly 100 team members, 10K+ customers and 1K published articles.

I couldn’t have arrived here without an amazing team of people, some of whom have been with the company since almost the beginning. Today, ApexSQL reaches another pivotal milestone with our acquisition by Quest Software, and in doing so, we become part of an even bigger team, several thousand members strong. For detailed information about this exciting news, please read our press release.

We’ve accomplished a lot as a bootstrapped, family-operated company, but we’re hungry for more. As part of Quest, we see the potential to significantly broaden and deepen our product portfolio, make our product roadmap even more aggressive and expand the markets for our tools. We’ll also benefit from all the resources and synergies such an acquisition provides. You can learn more about the bright future we’re planning as one team from Kathleen Owens, our new leader and Quest’s Information Management President & GM, on her blog.
